An ICAO Language Proficiency Examiner (LPE) evaluates the English communication skills of aviation professionals. As a Level 6 Aviation LPE, you operate under our authorisation and can conduct language proficiency tests for licence holders across all EASA member states. You assess pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and interactions using the ICAO Language Proficiency Rating Scale.

Level 6 Aviation operates under the authority of the Estonian Civil Aviation Authority. As an LPE, you conduct tests under our authorisation within our testing framework. Our parent company is based in Switzerland.

Pilot and air traffic controller applicants need relevant professional experience, not only a licence or qualification. Academic-route applicants need a relevant linguistics or philology degree. ICAO English Level 5 or Level 6 is expected.
